Batik Boutique

Batik Boutique trains and employs women from low-income households to produce resort wear, fashion accessories and gift items using natural Malaysian batik textiles.

Batik, a labour-intensive process to create patterns using layers of wax and dye, is a technique popularly applied across the Malay Isles to produce traditional fabrics.

Through Batik Boutique, more than 150 women from low-income families have been able to earn living wages and learn marketable skills.
