Limpapeh is a label of songket (brocade) weaves by the Minangkabau women of West Sumatra, Indonesia. Conceived as a rural economic empowerment programme, Limpapeh revives weaving skills that have been in decline for a generation.

With AirAsia Foundation’s grant, Limpapeh created a technical guidebook of motifs and natural dye colours that is now available to all weavers. New products were also prototyped, in tandem with continued training.
All Limpapeh scarves are woven from naturally-dyed cotton and showcase traditional Minangkabau motifs.
