Selaka Kotagede is a collection of fine silver jewellery and decorative objects crafted by highly-skilled silversmiths from the old city of Kotagede in Central Java.
Founded under a heritage revival project funded by AirAsia Foundation, the Selaka Kotagede label is jointly owned by 13 silversmiths descended from a long line of artisans whose creations can be found in the collections of royal courts and European museums.
Selaka Kotagede silver jewellery are made of 925 silver while its Javanese life filigree pieces are made of brass wires coated with silver.
