Bario Asal

Originating from Sarawak, Malaysia, Bario Asal is a range of food products cultivated by the Orang Asal or indigenous farmers at the Bario Biodiversity Hub using traditional and chemical-free farming methods.

The Bario Highlands is home to the Kelabit community of Sarawak that is famed for growing the exceptional Bario high grade rice and for the colourful and intricate beadwork of its craftsmen.
